Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks experience to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable handling multiple accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage financial records using QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
- Record daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries as needed
- Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities
- Generate financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
- Track and categorize expenses accurately
- Support payroll processing and related entries (if applicable)
- Prepare documentation for CPA, auditors, or tax preparers
- Maintain organized and compliant financial files
- Ensure adherence to company policies and basic accounting principles
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Technical Skills
- QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop (required)
- Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, reconciliation, reporting)
- Experience with expense management or payroll systems a plus
